comcast
so i called comcast to cut the cord. cause i really didn't like them sneaking in the service protection plan. which is a slowly growing charge. at $5/mo i cried, enough! there's also the $1.50 broadcast fee. cause apparently it costs money to rebroadcast free content. and i should pay them to replace the original broadcast commercials with comcast's own. um, no. all told we were paying $26/mo to watch castle and forever. which are available for free on broadcast. why? cause for the longest time you couldn't get internet without at least basic cable. but now you can. sorta. comcast offers a multi-product discount. so you can have cable only for $66/mo. or you can cable+tv for $63/mo. wtf? comcast is paying me $3/mo so they can say i'm a tv subscriber. even though the cable isn't even connected to the tv. hrm. i'm thinking about calling them back and negotiating for $5/mo to be a tv subscriber.
