taxes 2015
tax rate last year was 25%. historically, that's pretty middle of the road. so tax independence day for us was march 24th. which seems a bit weird. cause most of our income came from working. as opposed to from investing. whatever. course that doesn't count the employer's contribution to social security nor medicare. if you count those the rate gets kicked up to 28%. and the date to april 12th. which is still 2 weeks before everyone else. so how does that compare to my proposed progressive wealth tax? median net worth is still around $100k. so 1% of everything over that. and an additional 1% of everything over 10 times that. and so on. we paid in the real world taxes more that 2x what we would have paid in the timmertopia system. and we didn't get our $24k tax credit. sigh. timmer for president.
